Iran has revealed plans to export gas to Europe, said a senior official recently in a report.Iran’s main objective is to transfer the product in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG), Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, was quoted as saying in an Iran Daily News report, citing Mehr News Agency. The minister also touched on steps taken by the Oil Ministry to supply petrochemical complexes with feed asserting that the issue at stake is that producers need to pay taxes for selling feedstock to domestic petrochemical companies and downstream industries while sales to the global market is tax exempt.
He noted that companies producing feedstock are not eager to sell products to domestic customers due to tax requirements.Zanganeh reiterated that producers will not be charged taxes on their profits from exports though for domestic activity, tax payment is required, which discourages them from working with Iranian complexes.

Turkey is keen to buy more gas from Iran, now that the dispute over price has been resolved in Turkey's favour. Iran had agreed last year to export more, as long as Turkey – its only export market – agreed to pay a high price. But now that condition has lost validity. It is now exporting 30mn m³/d on average but it could raise this by a fifth to 36mn m³/d, the managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company, Hamidreza Araqi said August 19, using existing pipelines and production capacity.
At a press conference in Ankara August 12 with his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Javad Zarif, Turkey's foreign minister Mevlüt Çavuoglu said that Turkey wanted to buy more gas from Iran. In 2012, Turkey sued Iran in the International Court of Arbitration for overpricing gas purchases between 2011 and 2015. The court decided in favour of Turkey in February 2016, and ordered that both parties agree to a reduction in prices of between 10% and 15%.

Pétrolia Inc. (TSX VENTURE:PEA) is proud to announce the commencement of resource confirmation work on the Bourque property, which consists of the re-entry and completion of Bourque 1, as well as the drilling and completion of an additional well - Bourque HZ No3. The project should start in the next few days.
As for the Bourque 1 Project, the lower open hole section of the well will be abandoned through the installation of 4 cement plugs at depths from 2746 to 1780 m. Then, the drilling of the deviated section will be initiated at 1230 m and progressively deviated to reach a near horizontal angle at 1700 m KB (to a true vertical depth (TVD) of 1505 m KB), before setting the intermediate casing. The projected total measured depth of the well is 3450 meters (1488 m TVD). The drilling of the 1750 m horizontal leg of the reservoir will be followed by logging and completion. Casing will be installed to the beginning of the horizontal section.
Thereafter, the drilling rig will be moved a few metres away towards the enlarged portion of the Bourque 1 site in order to drill Bourque HZ No. 3. This new well will be drilled vertically to a depth of 1006 m KB and the hole will be progressively deviated down to a total measured depth of 1500 m KB or a TVD of 1299 m KB before setting the intermediate casing. Drilling will resume for a horizontal section of 1650 m in length. The planned total measured depth of Bourque HZ No 3 is 3150 m KB.
Independent Oil and Gas plc, the development and production focused Oil and Gas Company, is pleased to announce the completion of its first operated appraisal well on the Skipper oil discovery which lies in Block 9/21a in licence P1609 in the Northern North Sea, of which IOG is 100% owner and operator.
The well was successfully drilled to a total vertical depth of 5,578ft with no safety incidents and achieved its primary objective of retrieving good quality reservoir condition oil samples from the Skipper reservoir in order to optimise the Skipper field development plan. The oil viscosity of the samples appears likely to be within the 50cP - 150cP range expected by the IOG management, much better than Competent Persons Report ('CPR') estimates. The samples are now being analysed in Aberdeen, with initial results expected in September 2016. Should these properties be confirmed the development of the Skipper field will require fewer development wells thereby improving the development economics.
The well's secondary objective, to drill two mapped reservoir structures beneath the Skipper oil field in the Lower Dornoch and Maureen formations is now complete. The well did not encounter hydrocarbons in these horizons and will now be plugged and abandoned. The initial licence commitment on P1609 is to drill a well into the Maureen formation to a minimum depth of 1,700m (5,578ft). This commitment has therefore now been fulfilled.
Perisson Petroleum Corporation (TSX VENTURE:POG) is pleased to announce that the Company has completed the last stage of the closing process of the purchase of the Twining assets announced on May 19, 2016, by completing the final statement of adjustments related to the purchase. As a result, the Company made an additional payment of approximately $142,000 to the Receiver for the asset.
The Company has received its first oil and natural gas production and related revenues from these Canadian assets for the months of May and June 2016. Notwithstanding the current low oil and natural gas price environment, the assets generated positive cash flow for both months.
Additionally, the Company has purchased oil and gas rights on one and a quarter sections (approximately 800 acres, 400 net) of land as we continue to expand our land holdings and development opportunities in the Company's core Twining area.

British oil company BP has submitted a second environment plan proposing drilling of two exploration wells in the Great Australian Bight.
To remind, the oil firm’s first plan, proposing four exploration wells, was rejected by the Australian offshore safety and environmental management authority NOPSEMA, as it didn’t meet the regulatory requirements. BP has been given an opportunity to modify and resubmit the first plan. NOPSEMA has granted a request from BP for an extension to the timeframe for resubmission of the first environment plan to December 31, 2016 .
Regarding the second plan, NOPSEMA on Friday said that the wells proposed in the second submission are two of the four wells that were originally proposed in the first Great Australian Bight Exploration Drilling Program environment plan. The wells are Stromlo-1 and Whinham-1 respectively and will be drilled using the world’s largest semi-submersible drilling rig, the Ocean Greatwhite. Stromlo-1 is located some 600 kilometers west of Port Lincoln and 400 kilometers southwest of Ceduna, in a water depth of approximately 2250 meters. Whinham-1 is located approximately 600 kilometers west of Port Lincoln and 350 kilometers m southwest of Ceduna, in a water depth of approximately 1150 meters.
According to the proposed plan, the drilling program is scheduled to start from Q4 2016 to Q1 2017. BP anticipates that each well will take approximately 75 days to drill. In the event of any technical or equipment delays, the duration may be greater, so the assessment for each of the wells has allowed for up to 150 days.
