BP周二表示，公司已签署销售购买协议，将购买Coral South浮动LNG设施生产的全部LNG。这份协议将取决于与该LNG项目的最后投资决定，埃尼公司及其合作伙伴料将在今年年底前做出决定。

BP表示，上述协议将在20年内有效，已获得莫桑比克政府的批准。该协议每年将使BP旗下贸易部门获得预计330万吨LNG。

据俄罗斯卫星新闻网10月7日报道，俄罗斯最大的私营石油公司卢克石油总裁瓦吉特·阿列克佩罗夫在接受“能源情报”采访时表示，公司已停止与中石油和伊拉克政府就纳西里耶（Nassiriya）项目的谈判。

早前卢克石油公司曾表示计划参与开发伊拉克南部纳西里耶油田项目的竞标，以及日产量达到30万桶的炼油厂建设项目。纳西里耶油田储量达40亿桶，综合项目包括油田开发和建造一个相关的30万桶/日炼油厂，采取国际招标，但被多次推迟。

阿列克佩罗夫说：“我们遭遇困难有一系列原因。中石油认为它应做运营商，而我公司认为我们自己也可以做运营商。我们对如何开发该油田有不同的看法。”

他总结说：“我们因此停止了与中石油的谈判。同时伊拉克方面提出的条件也相当复杂。正因如此，我公司对项目感到失望。”

此外，卢克石油公司目前正在伊拉克实施西古尔纳2号（West Qurna-Phase 2）区块开发项目，对该项目的投资额约为53亿美元。卢克石油也在与伊朗国家石油公司就2个油田的开发进行讨论。

目前，中石油目前拥有伊拉克哈尔法亚油田（Halfaya）和艾哈代布油田（Al Ahdab）等项目的权益，2013年起，中石油就宣布参与伊拉克纳西里耶油田招标，与道达尔在内的数十家国际油企一同竞标。中石油也曾向卢克石油抛出橄榄枝，旨在入股西古尔纳油田2号区块开发项目。

外媒当时评论称，中石油是美国推翻萨达姆政权之后第一家与巴格达签署石油协议的外国公司，开发西古尔纳油田将进一步提高其主导地位，且促使其成为伊拉克石油产业最大单一外国投资商。

挪威石油安全管理局（PSA）已批准Statoil使用“Deepsea Atlantic”号半潜式钻井平台在Johan Sverdrup油田钻取4口井。Deepsea Atlantic是一座“MODU GVA 7500”型钻井平台，2009年7月获得AOC证书，目前由Odfjell Drilling运营。

Norwegian offshore safety watchdog, the Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA), has given its consent to Statoil to drill four survey wells at the Johan Sverdrup field, offshore Norway, using the Deepsea Atlantic semi-sub rig. The Deepsea Atlantic, of a MODU GVA 7500 type. The rig is operated by Odfjell Drilling, and issued with an Acknowledgment of Compliance in July 2009.

Statoil is the operator of the Johan Sverdrup field, which is located in the North Sea around 155 kilometers west of Karmøy. Partners in the field include Lundin Norway, Petoro, Aker BP, and Maersk Oil. The Johan Sverdrup field will be developed using four fixed platforms. Production from the field is expected to begin in late 2019. The PSA said on Monday that the consent was given to Statoil in order to obtain information about the reservoir conditions in the field. The drilling, which will be done at a depth of 110-120 meters, will begin on November 1, 2016, and will last around four months.

Indonesian platform builder PT Gunanusa Utama Fabricators (PTG) has won a second contract award worth around $150 million from Thailand’s PTTEP for a project offshore Myanmar.

Namely, in September this year, PT Gunanusa was awarded an engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contract for the Zawtika Development Project Phase 1C by PTTEP. According to that agreement, the value of the project is about $155 million and the project is expected to take 19 months to complete. Federal International, PTG’s shareholder with 20.66% interest, said on Friday that PT Gunanusa received confirmation from PTTEP to proceed with Lot 2 of the Zawtika Development Project Phase 1C, off Myanmar. The project comprises 2 wellhead platforms, associated pipelines, and tie-ins. The project value is about $150 million. Therefore, the aggregate value of the two contracts of the project is about $305 million and the work on both contracts will be carried out concurrently. The project completion date is in the second quarter of 2018. Federal International said it will support PT Gunanusa in terms of procurement, management and other ancillary support services for the project.

Repsol Sinopec, an oil and gas E&P company operating in the North Sea, has hired Esvagt’s standby and rescue vessel, the Esvagt Kappa, for work in the UK North Sea. According to a report from Clarksons Plateau, Repsol Sinopec chartered the vessel on a three-year deal with extension options. Repsol Sinopec confirmed that the vessel was chartered by the company for work on the Claymore field. The Esvagt vessel will operate on the Claymore complex located on the UK Continental Shelf some 161 kilometers northeast of Aberdeen in the North Sea. The Esvagt Kappa is a standby and rescue vessel approved by the MCA, UK as a Class B vessel for 300 survivors. It is 47.15 meters long and 11 meters wide with a deadweight of 505.84 metric tonnes.

Norwegian oil services company Aibel has been awarded an upgrading assignment at the Kårstø process plant by Norwegian oil major Statoil on behalf of operator Gassco. Kårstø is a processing plant north of Stavanger used for a treatment of gas and condensate (light oil) from central parts of the Norwegian continental shelf.

Gassco said on Friday that Aibel’s assignment comprises three sub-projects which are to be completed in 2018, with the main job covering the firewater and blowdown systems as well as boilers. The purpose of the work is to help maintain technical integrity at the plant and deal with aging. The facility at Kårstø is owned by Gassled, with Gassco as the operator and Statoil as its technical service provider (TSP).

Caelus Energy Alaska LLC reported Tuesday it has made a light oil discovery of 6 billion barrels in place off Alaska’s North Slope.The estimate is based on the results of two wells Caelus drilled earlier this year on its Smith Bay state leases, and 126 square miles of existing 3D seismic data, Caelus said in an Oct. 4 press release. Seasonal time constraints prevented the company from flow testing the well.The company also estimates the Smith Bay fan complex may contain more than 10 billion barrels of oil in place when adjoining acreage is included.Caelus CEO Jim Musselman said the discovery “has the size and scale to play a meaningful role in sustaining the Alaskan oil business over the next three to four decades.” He also stated that the discovery is proof that Alaska’s state tax credit programs work, adding that he wasn’t sure the company would have explored Alaska without these programs.
