But the production downside is likely limited as domestic oil producers remain modestly profitable as long as prices hold above $50/barrel, he says. Haworth also expects demand to cool down in the short term due to refiners’ seasonal maintenance, but their production will ramp up again at the end of the first quarter as they prepare for the summer season.
