Oilfield Services Set to Pop in 2019
Oilfield services shares may turn the page this year, say Evercore analysts. “2018 was a tough year for OFS as the OSX index was down approximately 46%, leaving the index at levels last seen in 2002,” they say. “We were cautious for most of the 2H18 due to slowing completion activity in North America, E&P budget exhaustion, and Permian takeaway constraints. Now in 2019 we are turning bullish again on the OFS group as oil prices are set to move higher throughout the year.”
