在提交给德州环境质量委员会的声明中，该炼油厂认为此次操作中断是由于工艺干扰导致的，并引起周一发生持续约四个小时的一氧化碳和其它气体的排放。该炼油厂表示：“此次操作中断预计不会影响产量。”

Exxon Reports Operational Snag, Flaring at Beaumont, Texas, Refinery
Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) reported an operational disruption and flaring of gas emissions at its refinery in Beaumont, Texas. In a statement to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the refinery cited a “process upset” as the cause for the emissions of carbon monoxide and other gases that happened Monday and lasted about four hours. “The refinery anticipates no impact to production,” it said. The 362,000-barrel-a-day Beaumont refinery is located 90 miles east of Houston.
