Propane stocks rose 21.7% on the month to 1.067 million mt, while butane stocks rose 4.2% to 520,000 mt, the data showed. Japan’s import terminal running stocks — supplies that refiners or importers can draw on — rose 62.9% on the month to 635,000 mt in September, the data showed. These stocks are not included in Japan’s total stocks figure quoted by the Japan LP Gas Association. Total imports edged down 0.1% on month to 899,000 mt in September, with propane rising 4.02% to 776,000 mt and butane falling 20.13% to 123,000 mt over the period, the data showed. Total demand fell 6.46% on month to 840,000 million mt, with propane down 5.83% at 630,000 mt and butane down 8.3% at 210,000 mt.
