Vito, discovered in 2009 off the coast of Louisiana, is projected to have peak output of about 100,000 b/d of oil equivalent after it begins producing in 2021, Shell said. Recoverable resources at the field, which is located in more than 4,000 feet of water, are currently pegged at 300 million boe. Vito is operated by Shell which has a 63.11% stake. Statoil holds the other 36.89%.
