The Russian oil company said that profit for the year was 418.8 billion rubles ($7.26 billion), adding that fourth-quarter profit increased 24% to RUB120.5 billion, compared with the third quarter of 2017. Sales in the fourth quarter rose 12% on the third quarter, to RUB1,662.5 billion. Lukoil said. Year-on-year, sales rose 14% to RUB5,936.7 billion. Both periods benefited from higher hydrocarbon prices and trading volumes, the company said. Lukoil said that production in the fourth quarter rose 2.4% compared with production levels in the third quarter, to 2.3 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.
