Gas flows to the UK and continental Europe have been higher every February going back to 2014, with deliveries in February last year amounting to 9.12 Bcm and in February 2016 to more than 9.7 Bcm.
Supplies last month were impacted by a string of unplanned outages on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, with almost daily works required at numerous assets including the giant Troll field, the Kollsnes and Heimdal processing facilities, the key pipeline to the UK, Entry SEGAL, and the Visund, Kristin and Oseberg fields.
