The company said its largest German onshore oilfield in Emlichheim is currently laying the foundation for a ‘substantial’ development of crude oil reserves over the coming decades and revealed that its Barnstorf site is also being ‘equipped for the future’ with a new $7.3 million (EUR 6 million) laboratory building, which is set to be opened this summer. “Our domestic production not only helps to secure supplies in Germany but also creates important jobs and income for Germany’s federal states and municipalities,” Scheck said in a company statement.
