中国石化新闻网讯 据路透社12月6日消息,沙特能源大臣周三表示,沙特基础工业公司(沙比克)正考虑在美国进行一些可能的投资,同时沙特阿美公司正寻求海外的天然气前景。
然而,沙特能源大臣法利赫在阿布扎比召开的一次行业会议间隙告诉记者,沙特阿美在天然气投资方面的兴趣位于沙特周边的地区,可能是在非洲或地中海。
法利赫表示:“沙比克正寻求美国的多个投资项目,利用美国充裕的天然气供应,尤其是乙烷,进行裂解生产石化产品,不仅供应美国市场,而且将出口美国以外市场,以提高公司在全球市场的份额。”
上月沙比克首席执行长Yousef al-Benyan告诉路透社,公司与埃克森美孚子公司在美国得州投资新建裂解装置的计划将在明年底作出决定。

Last month SABIC’s chief executive, Yousef al-Benyan, told Reuters the world’s fourth-biggest petrochemicals company planned to make a decision by the end of next year on an investment in a cracker plant in Texas with an affiliate of ExxonMobil. “The US gas (market) is already saturated, there are plenty of investors. I don’t think the US needs further investments from Saudi Aramco … Aramco’s interest in international gas is probably elsewhere, closer to home perhaps in Africa or the Mediterranean,” Falih said on Wednesday.
