In a statement late Friday, Shell said it had agreed the sale with Norway-based CapeOmega, an acquisition fund focused on the offshore upstream oil and gas industry.
Financial terms for the deal — which is expected to be completed before the end of 2017 — were not disclosed.
“The agreement is in accordance with Shell’s strategy to concentrate the upstream portfolio,” it said.
