VeriClean®200X is a proprietary wellbore displacement chemical system for use in displacement in water, synthetic and oil based muds. VC 200X has a proven track record of removing mud residue and solids from the wellbore, casing and other metal surfaces while leaving the surfaces water-wet.
APPLICATION:
VC 200X is the preferred application for removing water based muds, synthetic based oil muds and oil based muds from the casing, annulus, blowout preventers, boost, choke and kill lines, marine riser, surface equipment and workstring surfaces.

CHALLENGES:
Operator needed to perform a deep water completion fluid displacement on 1st attempt to achieve desired results in order to transition from Drilling to Completion mode.
SOLUTIONS:
Abrado VERICLEAN® Displacement System, consisting of the following

• VERICLEAN® Dry XCD – Dry high purity biopolymer designed to lift debris.
• VERICLEAN® Vis L – A pre-hydrated hydroxyl ethyl cellulose designed to viscosify brines, seawater and freshwater.
• VERICLEAN® Rig Wash – A highly effective and economical surfactant concentrate blend cleaning fluid designed to clean all surfaces contaminated with water based mud, synthetic based mud and oil based mud residues.
• Abrado Fluid Engineers – A combined 50 years of experience working with completion fluids and managing displacements.
RESULTS:
A direct displacement was executed using Abrado’ s proprietary VERICLEAN®200X displacement spacer system. The displacement procedure was finalized on location and carried out with ZERO QHSE or NPT reports. Once the entire rig’s available completion fluid handling equipment was flushed with Abrado‘s VERICLEAN®Rig Wash, the VERICLEAN®200X displacement chemicals were mixed and pumped. Spacers returned to surface on time as planned and intact with a small interface volume. Pumps were shut down and wellbore cleanout tools performed a short trip. Service personnel and company supervisors commented that “The Riser clean-out tools were perfectly clean”. The tools were then tripped back in hole to bottom and a full circulation bottoms up was performed per Abrado procedure to ensure all debris was carried out of the well before shutting down.
Using Abrado’s procedures and proprietary VERICLEAN®200X this displacement was performed in six less hours than the previous displacement providing the operator rig time cost savings of an estimated $385,000.00 USD.

This system is available in a single stage displacement system in certain scenarios.
VC 101: VC101 is a proprietary blend of surfactants added to our initial “Transition Spacer ”after pre-job verification with your actual drilling mud. This spacer begins the process of cleaning the downhole tubulars and provides a barrier to protect/buffer our Polishing Spacer from the drilling mud. Used in the Transition Spacer, VC101 is highly efficient in removing water based muds, synthetic based muds and oil based muds from all metal surfaces.
VC 102: VC102 is a proprietary blend of surfactants added to our “Polishing Spacer ” when displacing drilling mud to clear brine completion fluid. VC 102 may either be mixed with water or any density clear brine completion fluid in order to chemically remove any mud residues from the well.
VC-Lift L: VCLL is a suspension of high purity biopolymer in a water soluble carrier fluid. With its high molecular weight pre-hydrated xanthan biopolymer for building viscosity, VCLL provides clarified fluids with low polymer residues and exceptional suspension properties.
