Under an envisioned joint business development deal, NextDecade would deliver LNG under long-term contract from its proposed Rio Grande LNG export facility near Brownsville, Texas, to Ireland via a new floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) and associated LNG import terminal infrastructure at the Port of Cork. According to The Woodlands, Texas-based NextDecade, RGLNG would access associated and stranded natural gas produced in the Eagle Ford shale formation and the Permian Basin via the company’s proposed 137.5-mile twin Rio Bravo pipeline system.
