The Anyala and Madu oil fields in the country’s oil-rich Niger Delta are in Oil Mining Licenses 83 and 85, offshore Nigeria, according to a statement by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. Ndu Ughamadu, NNPC’s spokesman, said the agreement was between the NNPC/FIRST Exploration and Production Joint Venture and Schlumberger, which will provide over $700 million in development costs for the two fields. He said the two fields would yield 50,000 barrels of crude oil per day and 120 million standard cubic feet of gas per day by early 2019.
