石油圈中国石化新闻网讯 据俄罗斯卫星新闻社6月20日开罗报道，沙特阿拉伯石油大臣哈立德·法利赫日前在接受沙特Asharq Al-Awsat报记者采访时说，沙特阿拉伯的天然气储量估计在298.7万亿立方英尺。至于沙特阿拉伯王国的天然气产能，它们有野心在2020年前将产能增加50%。
法利赫补充说，这个计划将导致用于发电和海水脱盐的液体燃料使用量减少。

Saudi Arabia plans to double gas production capacity by 2020

“Saudi Arabia’s natural gas reserves are estimated at 298.7 trillion cubic feet. As for the kingdom’s gas production capacities, they will grow by 50 percent by 2020 within the framework of an ambitious program aimed at production increase,” Saudi oil minister Khaled Al-Falih said in an interview with Saudi Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper.
The minister added that the program should result in a decrease of use of liquid fuel for the purposes of electrical power generation and desalination of water.
Saudi Arabia is one of the largest gas producers in both the Middle East and the world. According to the World Energy Council, the Saudi Arabia’s proven reserves put the country in sixth on the list of the states with the largest gas reserves in the world.
