Oil import of the largest land port between China and Mongolia increased threefold

Erlian Custom released that the oil import of Erlian port increased threefold and reached 37,000 tons including 32,000 tons of oil from Russia in January and February 2016. The largest land port between China and Mongolia which was located in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region handed over a rosy report after opening the channel of importing oil from Russia.

It was known that Baota Petrochemical Group coordinated and made the import deal with Russia oil companies after gaining oil import quota and qualification from Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Commerce. It began to import oil from Russia through Erlian port on Dec, 22, 2015. According to the contract, the Group expected to import 2 million tons of crude oil and achieved 400 million yuan of import trade volume in 2016.

According to the material provided by Erlian Custom, Erlian port mainly imported crude oil from Irkutsk of Russia. The opening channel of importing oil from Russia led to the increase of oil import of Erlian port. According to statistics, Erlian port imported 32,000 tons of oil from Russia and 5,000 tons of oil from Mongolia in the first two months of 2016.
