Russia Says Oil Output Cut Deal Could Be Extended Further An agreement to reduce global oil supplies from OPEC and non-OPEC countries can be extended for three more months after it ends in March next year, Russia’s envoy to OPEC Vladimir Voronkov says. “We cannot rule out anything. In fact, this is what the ministerial committee meets for, in order to evaluate how the agreement works and what trends predominate,” he says. The supply cut deal, which was extended last ,month, has deepened an alliance between OPEC, led by its top exporter, Saudi Arabia, and Russia, which produces more crude oil than any other country but isn’t a member of the cartel.
