CNOOC cooperated with Zhanjiang city for joint development of Wushi Oilfield group

Another major developing project “Wushi Oilfield group” in The Gulf of Tonkin, which located in the west of South China Sea, is now being developed efficiently. On February 27th, Zhanjiang Branch of China National Offshore Oil Co. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to Zhanjiang Branch) signs the cooperation intention agreement with Zhanjiang Municipal Government. Both sides will make joint effort to develop Wushi Oilfield group. This is the first time for CNOOC to develop offshore oil and gas fields with local government. The steady implementation of the project indicates that there will be a second oil production base with annual output of 1 million cubic meters in The Gulf of Tonkin.
