Oil Trader Vitol to Invest in LNG Infrastructure
Vitol Group’s liquefied natural gas business is looking to make infrastructure investments in import capacity and inland storage, says Pablo Galante Escobar, the firm’s head of LNG. Speaking on the sidelines of the International Petroleum Week conference in London, he says Vitol is keen to make investments in logistics similar to what it’s done in its crude and fuel products business. Vitol trades around 4 million tons a year of LNG but does not currently own LNG infrastructure assets.
