Several Factors Seen Limiting Oil Price Gains
Heavy refinery maintenance coupled with growing production from the U.S., Nigeria and Libya is keeping a lid prices in the short-term, according to the London-based BMI Research. In a note, analysts say that looking further forward, slowing fuels consumption in emerging markets, growth in U.S. shale and growing spare capacity will also act to limit price recovery, despite the progress made by OPEC and Russia in trimming back production.
