Daily production of natural gas in Xinjiang Autonomous Region exceeded 100 million cubic meters for the first time

Recently, the total daily production of natural gas in Xinjiang kept over 102 million cubic meters stably for four days consecutively.

Daily production of natural gas in Xinjiang Tarim Oilfield reached 83 million cubic meters, and total daily production of natural gas in Karamay Oilfield, Turpan-Hami Oilfield, Tahe Oilfield reached almost 19 million cubic meters, making the daily production of natural gas in Xinjiang Autonomous Region exceed 100 million cubic meters for the first time, and this region becomes the second province with daily production of natural gas over 100 million cubic meters following Shanxi province. In recent years, with gas consumption increase at downstream market of “West-East natural gas transmission project”, development of natural gas in Xinjiang has walked into fast lane, leading to the continual increase of gas production. Natural gas production of Xinjiang was 5.7 billion cubic meters in 2004 and 29.6 billion cubic meters in 2014, which took 22.7% of natural gas production in China last year. At the same time, the outside transmission of natural gas in Xinjiang also increased rapidly, reaching 19.2 billion cubic meters last year.
