LNG Demand in Southeast Asia to Triple in Four Years
[Dow Jones] Demand for liquefied natural gas is set to triple in the next four years across Southeast Asia, according to BMI Research. The outfit says good prices, growing power demand and a growing preference for cleaner energy sources will support the investment. Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines are behind the trend. “Efforts to reduce domestic energy shortages and ensure continuous economic growth alongside favorable prices and growing interest in fostering cleaner energy alternatives will fuel greater demand for LNG,” it says.
