LUMIFLON FEVE resins have been used in paints and coatings on building exteriors and facades for more than 30 years. Topcoats formulated with FEVE-based resins offer outstanding gloss and color retention and protect metal and concrete structures from corrosion. When used on buildings, bridges, aircraft, automobiles, water towers and solar panels, FEVE-based topcoats do not degrade from UV light, wind or rain and can be formulated to last 30 years or more. FEVE resins are available for almost any type of coating, including solvent-based, powder, environmentally friendly low-VOC and HAPs-free coatings, and water-based coatings.
LUMIFLON® FEVE Resins
LUMIFLON® is the first solvent-soluble fluoropolymer resin for coatings that can be cured at room temperature or at elevated temperatures. LUMIFLON resins, used in topcoats, are ultra-weatherable, and maintain their excellent appearance on buildings, bridges, and other structures, as well as on aircraft, automobiles, and solar panels.
LUMIFLON coatings protect steel, aluminum and other metals as well as concrete from degradation by UV light, wind and rain, and corrosion. A transparent fluororesin, LUMIFLON can be used to make both clear and pigmented coatings. Because of their ultra-weatherability, LUMIFLON based coatings offer substantial life cycle cost savings over conventional coatings. The resins can be formulated into coatings with a range of gloss (from high gloss to flat finishes) in more than 230 colors. LUMIFLON resins are available for almost any type of coating, including solvent based resins, powder coating resins, environmentally friendly solid resins for low VOC and HAPS free coatings, and water emulsion and water dispersion resins.

LUMIFLON FE-4300 is a water emulsion product that was developed to enable formulators to meet VOC and HAPS regulations on many solvents in the U. S. LUMIFLON FE-4300 has low hydroxyl functionality, and is designed for use in single component coatings. Like other LUMIFLON resins, FE-4300 is used to produce coatings with high gloss and excellent weatherability. FE-4300 can also be used in blends with standard acrylic resins to substantially improve weathering of these conventional products.
