Rosneft Chairman of the Board of Directors Gerhard Schroeder had a meeting with the management of Rosneft Deutschland GmbH and got acquainted with business strategy of Rosneft Deutschland for 2019. During the meeting, representatives of Rosneft Deutschland management also reported on the 1st results of the company’s direct marketing operations in the German oil products market. During the visit, Gerhard Schroeder noted: «I am following with interest the activities of Rosneft in Germany and am pleased to see it strengthening its positions significantly just in 2 years since the foundation of the company’s subsidiary here: a professional international team was assembled, key business processes and company’s own client base in Germany and neighbouring countries were established. I am sure that the chosen strategy of Rosneft Deutschland will allow it to continue to actively develop its business in the European market.» Rosneft is the 3rd largest player in the German oil refining market. The company is shareholder in 3 refineries in Germany with a total throughput in its shareholding of 12.5 million tons per year, which is more than 12% of all German refining throughput.
