Net profit in the period was 311 million euros ($383.4 million) compared with a loss of EUR378 million a year earlier, due to the effects of depreciation, amortization and impairment charges, OMV said. Sales revenue stood at EUR4.91 billion, lower than the EUR5.41 billion a year earlier, the company said. The Austrian integrated oil-and-gas company said that it exceeded its cost-savings target, and that it expects capital expenditure to be of about EUR1.9 billion in 2018.
