On March 29th, China’s first ocean iron roughneck developed independently by Baoji Petroleum Machinery Limited Company completes production in the factory, and will be tested on its various performances.
The iron roughneck is specifically developed by the company for offshore platform operations, and can also be used for land drilling operations. It is mainly made up of five parts including clamping pliers, spinning wrench, walking frame, hydraulic system and so on. Its most prominent characteristic is the use of track sliding with a wide range of movement, high torque of clamping pliers, and high degree of equipment automation, which can adapt to a wider range of all kinds of drilling tools.
