Shipments of toluene were down by 32.9% year on year at 21,690 tonnes, according to the Korea International Trade Association (KITA). Meanwhile, the country’s benzene exports grew 4.0 year on year to 162,432 tonnes in October, while styrene shipments increased by 9.0% to 70,887 tonnes. On the olefins front, October export volumes declined, with ethylene down by 11.4% at 53,375 tonnes and propylene lower by 32.7% at 107,224 tonnes. Among polyolefins, polyethylene (PE) shipments fell 11.1% to 81,066 tonnes, while polypropylene (PP) exports grew by 14.6% to 135,857 tonnes.
