HZT WORKSTRING TUBING
The industry shift toward extended lateral wells has spurred technological advancements in many upstream applications and equipment requirements. Certus Energy Solutions, LLC has recognized the need for an evolution in tubing performance and is proud to introduce the HZTTM (Horizontal Tubing) connection. HZTTM is the perfect solution to the costly, premature downgrading of workstrings attributed to O.D. wear of PH-6 connection upset areas.
Unlike the integral PH-6 connection, HZTTM utilizes a disposable, sacrificial coupling on non-upset tubing which can be easily replaced, at minimal cost, exponentially extending the life cycle of the tubing assembly while providing superior performance. The use of this coupling effectively eliminates costly repair charges attributed to downgraded tool joints, allowing for a more predictable rental cost.
In addition to substantial cost savings, the HZT connection also boasts a torque capacity up to 76% higher than that of PH-6, providing more horsepower to the bit, especially in extended laterals. The coupling may be made in various sizes and grades for specific performance requirements.

By simultaneously reducing operating costs for routine wellbore operations while maintaining pressure integrity, PS1 is the most versatile production tubing on the market today.
The PS1 connection has been specifically designed to blend the strengths of a superior production tubing with the robust tensile and torsional requirements of a workstring. This unique combination makes PS1 the ideal connection for production, injection or disposal wells in which routine wellbore cleanout is expected.
The unique connection design consists of a coupling on non-upset tubing with built in torque stop; thus providing superior seal ability while delivering unparalleled performance specifications. The thread design and torque stop feature allow for up to 70% greater torque capacity than current industry standards and a connection rated to 134% of tube tensile.

For years, operators have had limited options for production tubing in smaller casing or restricted ID wellbores. Certus Manufacturing, LLC is proud to remove that limitation with the HZTTM PS3 production tubing connection. The HZTTM PS3 coupling has been exclusively designed to provide the superior flow area of a 2-7/8” tubing assembly while maintaining OD fishability inside 4-1/2” 13.50# casing.
The HZTTM PS3 coupling is designed for 2-7/8” 6.50# non-upset tubing but has the same OD as a 2-3/8” 4.70# EUE 8rd coupling. Therefore, in wells previously restricted to 2-3/8” tubing, the HZTTM PS3 offers up to 50% higher flow area. This makes the PS3 connection ideal for any slim hole production, injection, and disposal well applications where maximal flowrate is desired.
