U.S. crude futures rose 57 cents, or 1.3%, to $46.34 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent, the global benchmark, rose 54 cents, or 1.1%, to $48.60 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe. Saudi Arabia, the world’s top oil exporter, said it would limit exports to 6.6 million barrels a day in August. Energy Minister Khalid al-Falih said he wanted other countries to follow suit — noting that Saudi Arabia had no intention of allowing other countries to “free ride and undercut the agreement.”
