Technology of smart power network in offshore oil and gas field which was mainly researched by CNOOC Research Institute has been successfully applied in the oilfield group of Bohai, Kenli 3-2. This marked that CNOOC had built the technology system of smart power network in offshore oilfield group for the first time and had the research and construction ability of smart power network in offshore oilfield, which means CNOOC had taken the leading position in the area of distributed smart power network in oilfield.
Currently, the demonstration project has been running smoothly for more than 10 months, optimizing operation state of power network effectively with all the indicators reaching the expected requirement. The reliability index of power supply reached more than 99.9% and reduction ratio of network loss rate reached more than 10%, in addition, reduction range of reserve rate for the generating electricity capacity of whole network reached more than 14%.
Compared with the oilfield which didn’t adopted the smart power network, reliability index of power supply in demonstration oilfield increased by 0.2%. With this method, it could save about 34 million yuan to test the electric submersible pump and increase more than 20,000 cubic meters of oil as the time of power cut reduced. As a result, it could increase the income of about 70 million per year and reduced the electricity cost of each ton of oil and gas by more than 2%.
